Since 1997, Politiv has been certified and authorized to operate according to International Standard ISO-9001:2000. The company has since invested heavily on quality assurance and process control. As part of this effort Politiv has set up one of the most sophisticated laboratories in the world for the testing of the sheets during the production process.
The lab is operated by a team of skilled employees, who have been trained specifically in the field of quality assurance. The team maintains ongoing relationships with external labs from abroad updating its techniques and exchanging of information.
Its meticulous and uncompromising approach towards the quality of its product, has established. Politiv’s products to a high level of quality, making them suitable to meet the needs of the Israeli farmer, and those of farmers in other countries around the world.
The digital micrometer is used to test the thickness of the sheets. The tests are performed along the width of the sheet, at intervals of about 5-7 cm between each testing point. The micrometer is placed on a special plate, to ensure its accuracy. The device is connected to an output printer. Results are produced for each tested point. In addition, a statistical analysis report of the tests is produced.
The FTIR device tests the types of stabilizers, and quantity in the film. The device is also used to test the thermicity of the films, according to the Israeli and international standards .
This device used for testing the light transmission, in both the visible spectrum and the ultra violet range. Also, It is used for testing the blocking of the UV range (anti virus sheets).
Tensile Strength testing Device
This device is used to test the maximal strength required to brake the sheet, as well as the sheet's elongation till brake. Testing conditions are according to the ASTM standard.
Dart Falling Impact Test
Dart Falling Impact Test is used to test the Impact till film failure. A varying of weights is dropped from a fixed height ,beginning with a low weight and working up, until the sheet failure.
The QUV device is used to test the films durability. It includes lamps that emit an aggressive radiation in the ultra violet range (UV range), to simulating sun exposure in a short time.
The oven is used to test the sheet's non-organic content. As part of this process, the sheets are burnt at 500 degrees (Celsius) and the remains are weighed.

Anti Fog Device
A miniature model of a greenhouse. The Anti-fog device is used it to test the sheet's anti fog properties and the durability of the anti-fog in the film. The device includes a bath which is filled with hot water at all times, forcing the "anti fog" to work continuously.
